We offer gift certificates!
Are you contemplating changing scales or a new layout? Do you want to clear out your closet of all the unneeded kits, engines, cars, etc.? Selling part of an estate? Why not let us sell them for you at our store?
Consignment items are products offered for sale by individuals, however the actual product is in our store. All consignment items are subject to prior sales, and in most cases we only have one of those items on hand. Prices are typically set by the person offering the item for sale, with possible input from store management. If the individual is flexible about the asking price, we will indicate so by stating "make offer" in the product's description.
Papa Ben's charges a reasonable percentage of the final sale price for offering this service. In addition to making space in the store, we also (typically) photograph the items and post them here on this web site. This expands the possible audience, leading to a greater chance of the item being sold and sold quickly. Call us, or come by the store for more details.
You are more than welcome to come to the store to inspect the item. If that is not convenient, you can call or e-mail us for more information or to buy the item. We take all major credit cards and we do ship. Our online listing of consignment items is organized in various lists. Below these lists are general or non-scale-specific consignments that we have.
The rocky "Sedona Junction" N-scale mountain layout is 48" by 24" and 28" tall. It is built on a simple wooden structure with expanded polystyrene and plaster scenery. It incorporates a ground loop as well as an end to end line running through the mountains via a twin helix arrangement to a small town at the summit. The town is illuminated. Track is Atlas code 55, which is ballasted. The three Tortoise-controlled switches and various sidings are controlled from a panel which can be fixed to the front edge of the layout. The wiring assumes cab control, but it could easily run DCC. Switches have frog-polarity changed by the Tortoise. The radii are tight at 7.5", which means only short wheelbase diesel engines and a modified Bachmann Spectrum (could be supplied) can run. Hundreds of hours went into the construction of this layout.
The asking price is $1,000, but we will entertain any reasonable offers. Contact Papa Ben's if interested.

Track is Atlas code 55, and is ballasted. It is wired for DCC and comes complete with an NCE Power Cab controller. Hundreds of hours went into the construction of this layout.
