A3 No. 4472 "Flying Scottsman"
Sir Nigel Gresley was renowned for his Pacific express locomotives, the first of which, the A1 class, entered service in 1922. The A3 was a modification of the A1 and over time all of the surviving A1s were rebuilt as A3s. No. 4472 "Flying Scotsman" was built in 1923 and went on to become one of the most famous steam locomotives in the world setting many records along the way. After the war it was renumbered 103 then, after the nationalization, carried the number 60103, remaining in service on the East Coast mainline until 1963. During its service career it covered over 2,000,000 miles and travelled non-stop from London to Edinburgh in 8 hours. It was sold into private ownership, was sent to America and Australia and is today under restoration at The National Railway Museum in York.

'LEW' L&B 2-6-2T
Lew was built in 1925 to a similar design to the previous Manning Wardle locomotives constructed for the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway, the main difference being a redesigned cab to eliminate a smoke trap, and give more room to the crew. Following the L & B tradition, she was named after one of the local rivers with a three-letter name. She was sold at auction along with other L&B equipment in November 1935, two months after the railway closed. However, she was purchased by the contractor dismantling the line and was used on these trains until July 1936. In September 1936, the loco sailed from Britain on the SS Sabor - believed to have been destined for a plantation in Brazil. Despite the efforts of many enthusiasts, no proof of the locomotive's current whereabouts, or eventual fate has been discovered. The Ffestiniog has recently completed a replica of the loco and christened it 'Lyd', thus continuing the tradition of three-letter river names. Until pre-production images are available we are illustrating the loco with a photo of Lyd on the Ffestiniog Railway.
The model is internally gas fired and available either manually controlled or fitted with radio control. The engine is gauge adjustable for either 32mm ('0' gauge) or 45mm ('1' gauge) - all the parts for this are supplied with the model. This operation can be undertaken by the owner and only takes a few minutes. The cab roof lifts up to give access to the gas, water and lubricator fillers. The boiler is fitted with a water level check valve and the lubricator has an under floor drain. The wheels are spoked and insulated as standard. The model is built from stainless steel and brass, and with the correct maintenance, will give a lifetime of pleasure.
The models will feature:
- Butane fired
- 60psi working pressure
- Joy valve gear
- Safety valve
- Pressure gauge
- Water gauge
- Scale: 1:19
- Gauge: 32/45mm

Lynton & Barn Staple Coaches
The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway had its original rolling stock manufactured by the Bristol Wagon & Carriage Works. The coaches were built to a very high standard and came in a variety of forms, some of which were modified during their careers on the line. Following closure in 1935 many were sold off and found alternative use as summer houses and sheds. Remarkably nine coaches (or parts thereof) survived, one is running on the Ffestiniog Railway, one (largely un-restored) is in the National Railway Museum and the rest are in the care of the re-born L & B in various stages of restoration.
The models are constructed in plastic with die cast metal bogies and feature full seating detail. The coaches come with a 45mm insulated wheel set fitted but a 32mm wheel set is provided for use on '0' gauge. Couplings are chopper type but have a hook fitted if you wish to remove the chopper hook and use 3 link chains.
The models will feature:
- Plastic construction with die-cast metal
- Metal wheels
- Full seating detail
- Scale: 1:19
- Gauge: 32/45mm Gauge
- Mini radius: 3' 3" (1m)

Baldwin 4-4-0
The 4-4-0 was a small sized inside frame locomotive that worked all over North and South America. They were Built in the 1870's and 1880's. The 4-4-0 shared many common parts with other similar sized locomotives of the same period. The three point suspension allowed these engines to go over fairly rough track without derailing, and also because of their large drivers move along at a good speed with a passenger train on level track. The classic 4-4-0 or American is the locomotive that most people think of when the old west was young. Hollywood correctly uses these preserved locomotives even today when needing trains of that period.
The models will feature:
- Butane Fired
- D-Valve
- Simplified Stephenson valve gear
- Pressure gauge
- Water sight glass
- Adjustable lubricator

D&RGW T-12 4-6-0
Denver and Rio Grande Western Class T-12 was built in 1883 by Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. It was built as a passenger locomotive with 46" drivers, the second largest drivers used on any three foot gauge D&RGW locomotive.
During its service career it was used on all of the major D&RGW narrow gauge lines. It was taken out of service in 1938 and then refurbished in 1939 to appear at the 1939 New York World's Fair.
The model is internally gas fired and is constructed with brass and stainless steel. It should pull up to a dozen standard-size freight cars on good level track. Grades and sharp curves will diminish its capability. A good engineer will learn the engine's characteristics and idiosyncrasies over time, to get the best performance and longest duration from it.
The models will feature:
- Electric: 0~24V DC Pittman motor, sound ready
- Live-steam: Butane fired, C Copper boiler, D-valvem, R/C ready
- Scale: 1:20.3
- Gauge: 45mm

In 1900 the El Dorado Lumber Company was formed to take over the American River Land & Lumber Company. One of the first things El Dorado Lumber did was to build the cable way
across the American River in 1901 and connected the Pino Grande mill with the facilities at Camino, California. Lumber was logged and rough milled at the Pino Grande site, and
was loaded on lumber cars for the trip across the river, and on to Camino. For the next 6 years the company prospered but the economic panic of 1907 forced its closure for the
next four years.
In 1911 the El Dorado Lumber Company was sold, and reorganized as the Michigan - California Lumber Company in 1918. Michigan California Lumber Company Climax number 4 was built
in 1902. Its weight was 67,000 lbs. Cylinders were 12 x 14 and had 31" drivers. The boiler pressure was 160 lbs.
This very powerful Climax was used to pull loads up 7% grade from South cable to the first summit unit it was replaced in 1913. The engine was then taken apart and taken across
on the cable and was used for switching in the camps and also for the track laying crews in the woods. In the early 1930's it was retired however it was reconditioned and used
again in the late 1930's for a short time. Both the Heisler and the Climax were cut up for scrap in 1942 for the war effort!
The unlettered straight stack version that is offered of this Climax is a generic version of the same size engines as it would have come stock from the Climax factory! The model
has these features:
- 1:20.3 / 45 mm.
- Construction: Brass and Stainless Steel.
- Minimum Radius: 4 ft.
- Dimensions: 18.5 in. x 4.13 in. x 6.63 in.
- Weight: 13.5lbs.
The electric version has these specs:
- 0 - 24 V DC
- Operating lights
- Working couplers
- Sound ready
The live-steam version has these specs:
- Butane gas fired
- Two Cylinders, Piston valve, Safety valves, Simulated Stevenson valve, Water level glass, Pressure gauge, Adjustable lubricator, Hand operated water pump in tender.

Accucraft announces the Pennsylvania 4-4-4-4 Class T1 Live Steam locomotive.
The Pennsylvania Railroad's 4-4-4-4 Class T1 passenger locomotives were their last-built steam
locomotives. They were not articulated, but were Duplex drive and had poppet valves. The first two,
#6110 and #6111, were built by Baldwin in 1942. These locomotives were considered successful and
could pull 16 cars at 100 MPH. They were also technically advanced and more efficient than previous
designs. Later, 50 more of these were built in 1945-46 for a total of 52. Locomotives #5500 to #5524
were built by the Pennsylvania Railroad's Juniata Shops and #5525 to #5549 were built by Baldwin.
The large tenders carried 38.6 tons of coal, 19,200 gallons of water and could travel between Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania and Chicago, Illinois with only one stop. Wheel slip problems were later found to be
controllable by more experienced engineers. The streamline design by Raymond Lowey was in later
years the inspiration for the Baldwin Lima "Shark Nose" diesels.
The model has these features:
- 1:32 scale, 45mm gauge, Alcohol fired.
- Minimum Radius: 10 ft.
- Length: Engine: 25.67 in., Tender: 20.34 in.
- Width: 4.02 in.
- Height: 5.75 in.
- Wheel Arrangement: 4-4-4-4
- Valve: Four Cylinders w/ D-Valve
